Cheryl Taylor

Every Good Gift Designs was born out of a gifted artist’s need to express her desire to provide discriminating shoppers with the opportunity to view and purchase the many one-of-a-kind paintings and other curated items designed and crafted by Cheryl Taylor.

Cheryl has always believed that her ability and desire to create is a God-given gift.  She knows that is why she can confidently put paint to canvas, or fingers to wreath forms, or a discerning eye to a piece of jewelry.

As a self-starter, Cheryl has learned lessons the hard way without the benefit of formal training.  The trial and error painting process has been her training.  Life lessons have taught her not to be afraid of the canvas or the paint because you can always start over. She has often set aside many pieces that did not look appealing to her, but when she returned to them after a month she was really happy with the new results.  Also, watching other artists at their craft has inspired and helped motivate her to keep going.

Cheryl’s creative sparks began at an early age while in grade school when her artistic abilities revealed what would result in lifelong love and passion for creating art and hand-crafted items. Her initial interest was first displayed in penciled drawings on her school notebook paper.  This soon translated to charcoal sketches drawn on the special art paper included in a professional artist’s kit her father purchased as a surprise gift.

Although there have been many years between then and today, this self-taught artist’s love for art has never eluded her.  Cheryl’s repertoire of artistic creativity includes stenciling on wood, elaborate gift baskets, specialty designed wreaths, and costume jewelry.

Although effects of Covid-19 put a hold or a cancellation on many art activities over the past year, her skill developed to a level where even her acceptance to the well-known The Peddler Show was indication that she was moving in the right direction with her art.

Cheryl’s joy is fulfilled when customers acknowledge that the painting they had purchased added the desired beauty or drama to their living space; or the custom designed jewelry has added a sparkle to their wardrobe; or the new door wreath has created just the curb appeal they were looking for.
